The CARE engine, developed by Swiss Re, enhances the existing Automated Claims Experience (ACE) platform used by SBLI. ACE already enables many claims to be resolved in fewer than 10 days, with straightforward cases—such as claims under $100,000 with verified beneficiaries—often settled within just one day.
By incorporating CARE, SBLI aims to improve the speed, accuracy, and transparency of claims decisions. The engine uses configurable, risk-based rules and intelligent automation to guide examiners in real time, helping to increase operational efficiency without adding complexity. The result is a more seamless and supportive experience for claimants and their families during difficult times.
