Zurich Resilience Solutions, the risk advisory division of Zurich Insurance Group, has launched Climate Spotlight, a cutting-edge digital tool designed to help organisations better understand and manage climate risks.
Targeted at businesses, municipalities, and public entities, the platform provides critical insights to bolster resilience and inform sustainability planning.
The solution offers two tailored products to meet varying user needs:
- Climate Spotlight Core: A live, self-service dashboard that identifies climate risk exposure across up to 100 sites globally.
- Climate Spotlight Expert: A more advanced option featuring custom metrics, vulnerability analysis, unlimited site coverage, and personalized consultations with Zurich’s climate risk specialists.
The platform supports strategic and operational decision-making by providing in-depth insights into climate-related exposures. It includes data for climate reporting, addressing four climate scenarios extending to 2100. Additionally, Climate Spotlight aligns with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements and integrates with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework, ensuring its users meet regulatory and reporting standards.
Amar Rahman, global head of climate and sustainability solutions at Zurich Resilience Solutions, emphasized the tool’s significance in delivering actionable climate risk insights. He said: “Climate Spotlight caters to the needs of companies and public entities by giving them access to state-of-the-art climate risk data and analysis in a flexible and accessible manner that empowers them to take action and safeguard their people and assets.”
Zurich noted that Climate Spotlight also enables users to assess risk identification, materiality, and hazard evolution. This comprehensive approach positions the tool as a valuable asset in helping organizations transition toward sustainable practices while mitigating future risks.
The launch coincides with Zurich’s broader strategic initiatives, including new financial targets announced earlier this week. The insurer aims to achieve a compound annual growth rate of over 9% in core earnings per share through 2027 and deliver cumulative cash remittances exceeding $19 billion—up from $13.5 billion in the previous plan. Zurich also projects a core return on equity of more than 23%, driven by strong performance and a favorable market environment.
With Climate Spotlight, Zurich reinforces its commitment to empowering clients with the tools they need to navigate the challenges of climate change and build more sustainable futures.
