Marsh has partnered with cyber risk management company Resilience to launch Cyber Protect in Asia, an offering aimed at helping organisations identify significant cyber exposures before they result in financial losses.
The solution is available exclusively through Marsh in Asia and brings together Marsh’s cyber insurance expertise with Resilience’s Risk Operations Center (ROC). The ROC provides continuous cyber risk monitoring and threat detection, operating around the clock to identify potential weaknesses across an organisation’s external digital footprint. The service is included within the Cyber Protect programme at no additional cost to eligible clients.
Marsh said the offering is intended to give insured organisations greater visibility of vulnerabilities that could contribute to a cyber-related financial loss. By identifying and addressing these issues earlier, the companies said organisations can reduce their exposure while strengthening their overall cyber risk position.
Cyber Protect is available to organisations purchasing cyber insurance through Marsh and is being offered across Asian markets, with China excluded from the launch.
As part of the programme, Marsh provides its experience in arranging cyber insurance and managing claims across the region, while Resilience provides continuous monitoring of clients’ internet-facing infrastructure. Resilience said its AI-powered service combines automated monitoring with proactive threat hunting to identify vulnerabilities and other exposures that could potentially be exploited by attackers. The system is designed to distinguish significant risks from lower-priority findings through human-validated alerts, providing clients with information on issues requiring attention, alongside guidance to help security teams address them.
The companies said the service is intended to complement, rather than replace, organisations’ existing cyber security measures. It can operate without requiring software to be installed within a client’s environment or access to its internal systems.
The launch comes against a backdrop of increasing cyber security concerns across Asia. Marsh’s Cyber Buyer Study found that half of Asia-based organisations surveyed expressed confidence in their cyber risk management and mitigation initiatives, compared with a global average of 72%. Marsh also pointed to research indicating that almost three in 10 cyber and social engineering attacks worldwide target organisations in Asia.
Sean Letz, cyber leader for Marsh Asia, said prevention alone was no longer enough.
“As cyber threats continue to accelerate, prevention alone is no longer sufficient. Managing cyber risk today demands both the ability to detect and respond to threats early, and the financial protection to recover when the inevitable incident occurs,” said Letz. “Cyber Protect helps clients detect critical vulnerabilities earlier, take action faster, and strengthen their risk profile, supporting stronger resilience, improved insurability, and greater confidence in recovery.”
Mario Vitale, president of Resilience, said the region was a key market.
“Asia represents one of the most important developing cyber risk markets in the world, and we are proud to be bringing this unique solution to market with Marsh,” said Vitale. “We built Resilience around a single belief: that the highest value we can deliver is a loss that never happens. Our platform continuously hunts for threats across clients’ external attack surfaces, prioritising the vulnerabilities most likely to cause financial harm before an attacker can act. Asian businesses now have access to that capability — together with the expertise of one of the world’s most trusted insurance partners.”
