Andrade succeeds Wayne Peacock, who announced his retirement in August 2024 after leading USAA since 2020 and brings a wealth of leadership experience in the financial services industry and public service to this critical role.
Andrade has served on USAA’s Board of Directors for the past four years, providing valuable insights and guidance on key strategic decisions. He brings a deep understanding of the company’s mission and a commitment to serving the needs of its members.
Prior to joining USAA, Andrade served as president and CEO of Everest Group, Ltd., a leading global insurance and reinsurance solutions provider. He has also held senior leadership positions at Chubb, The Hartford, and Progressive.
Andrade’s distinguished career extends beyond the private sector. He served in various roles within the U.S. Federal Government, including positions at the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.

Witnessing firsthand the outstanding service the team provides to our courageous service men and women, I am honoured to lead USAA in its second century of service.”
USAA board chair, Vice Admiral (USN, Ret.) Jim Zortman said: “USAA is a special association, and the board took great care to find someone with the right expertise, vision and leadership. Juan has a deep respect for our men and women in uniform, having served alongside them to help safeguard our national security.”
