About Lawrence
Lawrence Lam is the Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Hong Kong Limited. He leads the Hong Kong executive management team and oversees Prudential’s life and general insurance businesses in Hong Kong and Macau, offering comprehensive protection, health, wealth, investment, and general insurance solutions.
Before joining Prudential, Lawrence was Chief Executive of Citi’s consumer bank in Hong Kong. He brings extensive experience in multi-channel distribution, customer experience, digital transformation, and product innovation. During his tenure at Citi, he held several senior leadership positions, including Head of Retail Banking, Head of Sales and Distribution, and Director of Consumer Lending.
He also played a pivotal role in building the bank’s insurance business through its bancassurance partnership. Lawrence is Deputy Chairman of the Life Insurance Council of the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers and a member of its Governing Committee. He is also a member of the Hong Kong Academy of Finance, a Council Member of The Hong Kong Management Association, where he chairs the Programme Advisory Committee for Marketing Management, and an Advisor to Our Hong Kong Foundation.
In recognition of his leadership, Lawrence was named Corporate Executive of the Year at SCMP Live’s Business Awards 2025. Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the Ivey Business School. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
