He will report to Bill Pappas, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Technology and Operations. He joins MetLife following a successful 20-year career at Citi, where he played a pivotal role in advancing the vision and technology of Citi Services. As CIO, he led a global team of 15,000, driving innovative solutions in payment processing, global custody, liquidity management, and working capital solutions across 90 countries within a highly regulated sector.
Before his time at Citi, Nadgauda co-founded Invertica, serving as Chief Technology Officer for the software company specializing in web services and integration middleware. He began his career at Motorola’s Corporate Research Labs and holds six patents in wireless communication algorithms.
In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing MetLife’s technology strategy, including application development, infrastructure, and digital transformation.
Nadgauda will also lead MetLife’s partnership with NC TECH’s Center for Technology Workforce Innovation, which aims to foster growth and development in North Carolina’s tech industry.
