Marsh Appoints Lorraine Stack as Risk Management Leader for Europe
Marsh has announced the appointment of Lorraine Stack as the new risk management leader for Europe.

In her new role, Stack will oversee the risk and insurance programs of Marsh’s largest European clients, providing comprehensive support in managing their risk portfolios. Based in Dublin, Stack will report to Christos Adamantiadis, CEO, and Carolina Klint, chief commercial officer for Marsh McLennan Europe.

Additionally, Rob Geraghty has succeeded Stack as the international consulting and sales leader for Marsh Captive Solutions, while Nick Gale has been promoted to Dublin and Isle of Man captives operations leader. Geraghty, based in London, and Gale, based in the Isle of Man, will both report to Will Thomas-Ferrand, the international captive practice leader at Marsh.

With over 30 years of experience in broking and underwriting, Stack brings a wealth of expertise to her new role. She has been associated with Marsh since 1996, holding various senior international positions within Marsh Captive Solutions. Stack will continue to serve as the chair of Marsh Captive Solutions’ Dublin captive management office alongside her new responsibilities.

Geraghty, who joined Marsh in 2011, boasts extensive experience in international captive consulting, management, and sales. He most recently led international sales for Marsh Captive Solutions for five years.

Gale, who has been with Marsh for over two decades, has held numerous senior-level roles, including advisory practice leader for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. His promotion underscores Marsh’s commitment to recognising and nurturing talent within the organisation.

Commenting on Stack’s appointment, Adamantiadis says: “She is a wonderful addition to the European leadership team and will play a key role in delivering the best of Marsh to our clients across Marsh McLennan.”

Thomas-Ferrand also said: “The growing popularity of captive insurance solutions globally is continuing amid challenging insurance market conditions, which is contributing to innovation in captive structures, servicing, regulation, and greater adoption in numerous countries.

He added: “Rob and Nick’s knowledge of the international captive insurance sector will be invaluable as Marsh Captive Solutions continues to develop new solutions that support our clients in managing their rapidly evolving risks.”
