AXA Hong Kong and Macau has signed an agreement with enterprise technology provider BytePlus to develop and deploy AI solutions across the insurance value chain.

The companies plan to explore insurance-specific AI models, intelligent agents, and decision-support tools covering knowledge management, underwriting, claims, and distribution.
AXA will also use BytePlus's predictive analytics and consumer persona modelling to improve customer insights and personalise interactions. A planned AI-powered "creativity hub" will apply multimodal and generative AI to content production and marketing.
David Ng, deputy chief executive officer of AXA Hong Kong and Macau, said the partnership marked a significant step for the insurer's AI ambitions.
"This partnership represents a major milestone for our AI roadmap," said Ng. "We aim to co-innovate specialised, insurance-specific AI models that drive industry-wide transformation."
BytePlus is the enterprise technology unit of TikTok parent ByteDance.
