INSTANDA has launched INSTANDA Clear, an AI-supported underwriting and operations platform designed to help insurers manage complex, human-led workflows through a single governed environment.

INSTANDA has launched INSTANDA Clear, an AI-supported underwriting and operations platform designed to help insurers manage complex, human-led workflows through a single governed environment.

The launch marks a strategic expansion of INSTANDA’s no-code insurance technology offering, targeting operational bottlenecks in underwriting and claims processes where manual intervention, fragmented systems, and email-based collaboration continue to slow decision-making.

Initially launched on 6 March 2026, INSTANDA Clear is aimed at insurers across the US, UK, Europe, and APAC, supporting more complex insurance operations where human judgement remains critical.

The platform is designed to replace disconnected spreadsheets, email chains, and manual tracking tools with a centralised execution layer that provides insurers with greater visibility, accountability, and governance across underwriting and operational processes.

INSTANDA Clear consolidates workflows such as underwriting referrals, fraud investigations, renewals, mid-term adjustments, complaints handling, and reinsurance tasks into a single environment. The platform also includes an AI-powered inbox that converts inbound emails into actionable tasks, helping insurers reduce administrative workloads and accelerate case progression.

By integrating directly with INSTANDA’s policy administration system (PAS), as well as third-party customer relationship management and claims platforms, insurers can feed outcomes back into existing workflows without disrupting legacy infrastructure.

The company said the platform is specifically designed to support judgement-based insurance work, where automation alone is often insufficient and underwriters require flexibility to collaborate across multiple teams and systems.

Features include real-time visibility into task status and workloads, dynamic workflow management that allows teams to add checks and follow-ups as cases evolve, and coordinated collaboration between brokers, underwriters, and specialist third-party providers.

The launch reflects a broader trend across the insurance sector, where carriers are moving beyond basic automation and experimenting with AI-enabled operating models that augment rather than replace underwriters.

As insurers face increasing pressure to improve efficiency while maintaining compliance and governance standards, platforms focused on workflow orchestration and decision support are becoming a growing area of investment across underwriting operations.
