Flynn, an industry veteran with five decades of experience spanning retail brokerage, specialty insurance, and insurtech, will guide Fenchurch’s North American growth strategy, deepen client engagement, and help refine the firm’s service-driven approach to complex property placements. He also joins the Fenchurch Board as a Non-Executive Director.
“This market represents a significant underserved community,” said David Price, CEO and Founder of Fenchurch. “Their coverage needs are complex, requiring deep expertise and creativity to secure the right risk solutions for their property holdings and businesses at large. Unfortunately, due to always evolving market conditions, business realities, and carrier wariness, they’re left scrambling for the right coverage solutions. Fenchurch addresses their needs with the ‘white glove’ service and data analysis normally reserved for the world’s largest companies. King’s career is this story of delivering beyond client expectations, with integrity, and the determined vigor needed to ensure insureds can sleep well. We’re thrilled to have him guiding our next chapter.”
Fenchurch is known for placing difficult property risks for North American brokers whose clients face challenges accessing the admitted market—whether due to high CAT exposure, unfavorable loss history, or underwriting complexity. The firm serves clients with insured value portfolios ranging from $250 million to $10 billion, often designing bespoke placements using data modeling to anticipate market appetite, stack structures, and pricing before entering negotiations.
“David and our team have extensive experience working with Fortune 500 clients,” said Kingsley Flynn. “They are translating that level of service to mid-market players, who often have difficulty finding the right insurance solutions at the right cost. Further, they’re including all parties in the placement process—insured, broker, and carrier—as true partners in the common goal of reducing risk and lowering financial burden. This new era of service and partnership is something I’m eager to expand within the North American market.”
Flynn brings a track record of pioneering growth initiatives. He most recently served as Head of Insurance at Sayata, an insurtech enhancing wholesale SMB placements with AI-driven insights. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at Beazley Group, helping launch and grow its U.S. operations and leading broker relations. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Johnson & Higgins, Marsh & McLennan, and Palmer & Cay, and has maintained active ties with Lloyd’s since the 1970s.
Flynn’s appointment signals a major milestone in Fenchurch’s journey to bring its high-touch, data-led brokerage model to more clients across North America.
