Future Processing has announced plans to scale its futureClaims™ platform, a claims modernisation solution designed to help insurance organisations improve claims operations without requiring migration from existing core systems.

Built for complex commercial and specialty claims environments, the platform is intended to modernise claims workflows while integrating with insurers’ existing technology infrastructure.

futureClaims™ enhances claims handling through intelligent triage capabilities that automatically classify claims and route them to the appropriate handlers. The platform also identifies missing documentation and outstanding actions at the point of submission to help reduce delays in the claims process.

Risk monitoring capabilities are designed to surface fraud indicators and compliance risks within insurers’ existing systems, while automated broker notifications and rules-based alerts aim to streamline communications.

The platform also provides real-time reporting and decision support through live and aggregated claims data insights, enabling insurers to improve operational visibility without lengthy implementation programmes.

The expansion comes as insurers continue to face challenges linked to legacy systems and operational inefficiencies.

A survey commissioned by Future Processing found that 36% of claims leaders identified claims process improvement as their highest priority, followed by enhanced fraud detection (35%) and stronger data governance (32%).

The research also highlighted operational barriers affecting transformation efforts, with 30% of firms citing resistance to change and technology investment constraints. Legacy system training burdens and changes to external collaboration processes were each identified by 26% of respondents.

The findings suggest many claims operations continue to face challenges related to fragmented systems, data quality issues and the disruption associated with large-scale technology upgrades.

Piotr Piękoś, Head of Insurance Practice at Future Processing, said: “Claims functions can make or break the reputation of any insurance organisation. Policyholders rightly demand a swift, efficient service in their time of need, and, in an increasingly competitive market, firms must rise to this challenge. As agentic AI begins to reshape the industry, insurance organisations relying on legacy technology cannot afford to stand still.

“Our futureClaims™ platform combines deep sector knowledge with cutting-edge technology to deliver seamless integrations that optimise efficiency and decision-making. The platform is already having a tangible impact for our clients, providing us with strong foundations upon which we can scale the proposition and execute our ambitious growth strategy for the London market.”

Future Processing said the platform is already in use with clients and will support the company’s expansion strategy in the London insurance market as demand grows for claims transformation technologies that can operate alongside legacy infrastructure.
