Recognised by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), the program aims to enhance vehicle repair standards and prioritise customer safety.
With 23 Motor Accident Repair Centres across the UK, DLG integrates cutting-edge facilities and data-driven strategies to deliver cost-effective, high-quality repairs. The new VDA accreditation program, offered at the company’s flagship technology centre in Stechford, Birmingham, places DLG among a select group of UK organisations qualified to provide this prestigious certification.
The program is tailored to equip DLG’s vehicle damage assessors with the skills needed to excel in modern vehicle repair and safety. Training covers advanced materials used in vehicle construction, Electric Vehicle (EV) systems, and critical safety technologies like Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
To ensure practical, hands-on learning, the company has invested in dedicated training vehicles, allowing assessors to simulate real-world scenarios. This immersive approach enables participants to accurately diagnose damage and recommend precise, safety-oriented repair solutions.
“Our new VDA accreditation program is a significant milestone for Direct Line Group,” said Martin Milliner, Claims Director at DLG. “It highlights the exceptional expertise of our teams and reinforces our commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. By investing in cutting-edge training, we’re not only raising the bar for vehicle safety but also ensuring we’re prepared to meet the demands of an increasingly complex automotive landscape.”
As vehicles continue to evolve with advanced technologies, DLG’s proactive approach ensures its teams are well-equipped to adapt to industry changes. The VDA accreditation program reflects DLG’s dedication to customer satisfaction and safety, setting a new standard for excellence in the vehicle repair sector.
