Bamboo Insurance has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering.
The company has applied to list its Class A common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “BMB”. The number of shares to be offered and the price range have not yet been determined.
J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley will serve as joint lead bookrunning managers for the proposed offering. Deutsche Bank Securities, Evercore ISI, and Wells Fargo Securities will serve as active bookrunning managers.
Bamboo said the proposed offering will be made only by means of a prospectus. The registration statement has been filed with the SEC but has not yet become effective, and the securities may not be sold before it does.
Bamboo Insurance is a technology-enabled managing general underwriter focused on homeowners insurance. The company describes its model as underwriting-first and capital-light, using AI, technology, data science, analytics, underwriting, and claims capabilities, while working with a diversified group of capacity providers.
The company said it manages functions across the insurance value chain, including data science, advanced analytics, underwriting, and claims handling. Its model is designed to combine technology-enabled speed, data-driven underwriting, proprietary insights, and diversified capacity.
