Digital cargo insurance platform Breeze has launched Quote AI Autofill, a new artificial intelligence-powered tool designed to simplify the insurance quoting process for freight forwarders and logistics providers.

The new capability aims to reduce the administrative burden associated with cargo insurance placement by automatically extracting key shipment information from documents and communications that users already possess, including emails, bills of lading, commercial invoices, booking confirmations and screenshots.
Using AI-driven document recognition and data extraction technology, Quote AI Autofill can populate insurance quote fields automatically, allowing users to generate coverage requests more quickly while reducing the need for repetitive manual data entry.
The launch comes as freight forwarders continue to face operational pressures driven by supply chain disruptions, market volatility and tightening margins, creating demand for tools that improve efficiency and reduce administrative workloads.
According to Breeze, the system can automatically identify and populate a range of key shipment details, including commodity descriptions, cargo values, load types, special conditions, booking references, Incoterms, transportation modes, origins, destinations and vessel information.
Rather than requiring users to manually transfer information between multiple documents and systems, the tool enables them to simply paste text or upload relevant files, with the AI extracting and organising the data into the appropriate quote fields.
Importantly, Breeze said users remain fully in control of the process. Every field completed by the AI is clearly marked, can be edited before submission, and no quote is generated until the information has been reviewed and approved by the user.
“Forwarders are working in a market shaped by disruption, uncertainty, and pressure on margins, yet too much of the insurance process still depends on copying information from one document to another,” said Eyal Goldberg, Chief Executive Officer of Breeze.
“Quote AI Autofill is designed to remove repetitive manual tasks, speed up quotes, and keep the user fully in control.”
The launch reflects a broader trend across the insurance and logistics industries, where artificial intelligence is increasingly being deployed to automate data capture, improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experiences. In cargo insurance specifically, much of the quoting process remains document-heavy, requiring stakeholders to manually review shipping records, invoices and booking information before obtaining coverage.
By automating these early-stage administrative tasks, Breeze aims to reduce friction in the insurance placement process while enabling freight forwarders to focus more time on customer service and shipment management.
The company has positioned itself as a technology-driven cargo insurance provider focused on digitising traditionally manual workflows within the marine and logistics insurance ecosystem. The introduction of Quote AI Autofill represents another step in that strategy, leveraging AI to simplify one of the most time-consuming stages of the insurance purchasing journey.
As insurers, brokers and logistics providers continue to explore practical applications for artificial intelligence, solutions that can automate document processing and data extraction are gaining traction as a way to improve productivity without removing human oversight from critical decision-making processes.
For freight forwarders operating in increasingly complex global trade environments, tools such as Quote AI Autofill could help accelerate access to coverage while reducing operational bottlenecks, supporting a faster and more seamless cargo insurance experience.
