BMS Group has selected AI solutions from mea Platform to enhance placement efficiency and advance its digital broking capabilities across global (re)insurance operations.
The collaboration will see BMS deploy mea’s Broking Operations products, part of its wider mea Operations suite, to modernise core placement workflows. The move reflects increasing pressure on brokers to handle rising data volumes and market complexity while delivering faster and more consistent execution.
mea’s platform is powered by a proprietary insurance language model and an Insurance Industry Knowledge Graph built on $400 billion of transaction data. The technology is designed to automate key processes including enquiry intake, data ingestion, document handling, market submissions, and digital placement.
By embedding these capabilities into its operations, BMS aims to streamline how risks are placed, improve execution quality, and provide brokers with real-time operational insights.
Martin Henley, Chief Executive Officer of mea Platform, said:
“Placement efficiency is a defining advantage for leading brokers in today’s market. BMS’s selection of mea reflects a clear focus on using AI to strengthen how business gets done day to day—improving placement outcomes, supporting brokers at the point of execution, and driving digital leadership without disrupting existing systems. Applying our knowledge graph, built on $400bn of transactions, gives BMS an even greater edge in a market that rewards speed.”
Ian Gormley, UK CEO of BMS, added:
“We’re pleased to be working with mea as we continue to invest in technology to support more efficient and consistent placement processes. This collaboration reflects our broader strategy to strengthen our digital capabilities and enhance how we operate, with a focus on improving the service we provide to clients and trading partners. It also supports our longer-term ambition to evolve how business is transacted through more streamlined and digitally enabled processes.”
The partnership aligns with BMS’s broader strategy to invest in technology that enhances broker productivity, deepens market engagement, and reinforces its position in specialist (re)insurance placement as digital transformation accelerates across the industry.
