Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Boosts Multinational Offerings with Network Expansion and Tech Upgrades
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has broadened its partner network and bolstered its internal team with seasoned multinational experts to expand its network and upgrade its technology systems.

According to reports, BHSI has expanded its partner network in recent years to provide services in 178 countries. To meet the growing demands of its business, the company has also increased its internal team of multinational experts, establishing a presence in 13 cities worldwide. Furthermore, BHSI has augmented its multinational capabilities by incorporating surety bonds.

As part of the corporation’s partnership network, BHSI has integrated WorldLink, an end-to-end digital solution designed to manage and facilitate multinational program business services. The partnership was facilitated by teaming up with London-based insurtech ChainThat. The partnership leveraged ChainThat’s Beyond Multinational Programmes platform to conceive and develop the groundbreaking WorldLink solution.

According to BHSI, the implementation of WorldLink has significantly enhanced workflow efficiency, unlocking bandwidth and enabling scalability across the organisation. Currently, 95% of BHSI’s multinational transactions are conducted through the WorldLink platform.

Speaking about the expansion plans, David Valzania, Head of Multinational, BHSI, said, “We continue to evolve our multinational services and capabilities to keep pace with the increasing needs of our customers. BHSI has always been agile, and we are demonstrating this again as we strategically expand to deliver best-in-class multinational programs and service to our customers and distribution partners.”

Valzania continued, “ChainThat’s distributed ledger-centric platform supports consistency, compliance, and transparency in our multinational transactions, while delivering data clarity and protection across multinational accounts.

“It enables BHSI to seamlessly coordinate and collaborate across local underwriters, producing offices, and network partners, facilitating the execution of our multinational programmes,” he added.
