Marsh has appointed Chetna Gulati-Kapoor as global chief claims officer of Marsh Risk, effective September 1.
Based in London, Gulati-Kapoor will report to John Donnelly, president of global placement at Marsh Risk. She will lead the company’s global claims strategy and strengthen client advocacy across complex loss events worldwide.
Gulati-Kapoor brings 20 years of experience in claims advocacy and client service to the role. A solicitor by profession, she practised in India and the UK before holding several claims-focused positions at UK insurers.
She joined Marsh in 2021 from CNA Hardy and most recently served as Marsh Risk’s global claims advocacy leader.
“Chetna is a highly respected claims leader with an outstanding track record of supporting clients through complex and demanding situations,” Donnelly said. “Her appointment reflects the importance of claims to our business and our commitment to delivering the very best outcomes for clients.”
Gulati-Kapoor succeeds Rob Powell, who will move into a newly created role as chairman, global claims, Marsh Risk.
