A key feature of this new plan is the inclusion of a Cashless Hospital Admission service, allowing travellers to access medical care abroad without the need for upfront payments.
The Cashless Admission service, available at no additional cost, can be accessed through AirAsia’s booking platforms, including the airasia MOVE app. Premiums for the AirAsia Comprehensive Travel PLUS start at SGD28.60 for a return trip and include coverage for trip cancellation, flight delays, and lost or damaged baggage.
“Travel delays are unsolicited, and we understand the challenges of navigating them when travelling with a big family or managing a busy schedule, especially during peak travel season such as the upcoming year end and school holidays.” said How Kim Lian, Group Chief Executive Officer of Tune Protect.
The service, already available in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, will soon be expanded to Vietnam and other markets. With access to over 7,500 hospitals worldwide through Europ Assistance, the plan aims to provide travelers with peace of mind and minimise unexpected out-of-pocket expenses during their journeys.
Lian added: “At Tune Protect, we aspire to enhance every aspect of the travel journey to be as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Whether it is parents seeking a quiet space to manage their children, business travellers needing to catch up on work, or solo travellers wanting a peaceful spot to relax, the access to the airport lounges addresses the needs of every traveller.”
