Westfield Specialty has promoted Katie MacGregor to Chief Operating Officer (COO) of its international business, as the company continues to expand across key global markets.
In her new role, MacGregor will oversee operational functions spanning the UK, Middle East, and Europe, working closely with senior leadership to support the firm’s growth strategy. She will report directly to Anthony Baldwin, President of Westfield Specialty International.
MacGregor has been with Westfield Specialty since 2016, most recently serving as Head of Claims, where she played a central role in strengthening the organisation’s claims capabilities and operational performance. She brings more than two decades of industry experience, including 12 years at Liberty Specialty Markets, where she held senior claims leadership roles.
The promotion comes as Westfield Specialty continues to broaden its international footprint, expand its underwriting portfolio, and enhance its distribution network across specialty lines.
Baldwin highlighted that MacGregor’s operational expertise and leadership will be key as the business scales its international platform and continues to deliver high levels of service to brokers and clients.
In her new position, MacGregor is expected to focus on strengthening operational efficiency and supporting consistent service delivery as the company grows its presence across global specialty markets.
The appointment reflects a broader trend among specialty insurers to invest in operational leadership as they expand internationally and navigate increasingly complex risk environments.
