Ampatzis will report to Jamie Tang, TMK’s Regional Underwriting Director for APAC.

Ampatzis is a seasoned professional in marine insurance with extensive experience across the global and APAC marine insurance sectors. He joins TMK from Starr Insurance, where he served as Marine Manager for Southeast Asia. His career includes a notable tenure at AXA, where he most recently held the position of Deputy Head of Marine Cargo Underwriting in Singapore.

Based in Singapore, TMK’s APAC marine team supports a broad geographic market that extends from Australia to the Middle East. Ampatzis’ new role will focus on strengthening TMK’s presence in key markets and driving the continued growth of the marine division across the region.

The latest appointment underscores TMK’s commitment to expanding its operations in Singapore and follows the recent hire of Stephanie Hong as Marine Underwriter for APAC. TMK’s focus on growth is evident as the company continues to invest in building a strong, specialised team in the region.
