SCOR Announces Strategic Leadership Changes for 2024
French reinsurer SCOR is gearing up for a transformative year with the appointment of David Sütterle and Damien Bartlett to new senior roles, aiming to bolster the company's strategic focus and streamline its operations.

French reinsurer SCOR is gearing up for a transformative year with the appointment of David Sütterle and Damien Bartlett to new senior roles, aiming to bolster the company’s strategic focus and streamline its operations.

Effective January 1, 2024, David Sütterle will take on the role of CEO of ReMark at SCOR Digital Solutions. In addition to this, he will continue his current responsibilities as the Chief Digital and Innovation Officer for Life & Health. Sütterle brings over eight years of experience at SCOR, starting as the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (SCOR Global Life) and progressing through various leadership positions, including Chief Capital and Financial Manager Life and Chief Strategy Officer Global Life. His diverse background includes roles at InsurTech Hub Munich and ERGO Group AG before joining SCOR.

Simultaneously, Damien Bartlett, formerly SCOR Regional CEO of EMEA and Canada, will assume the position of Head of Strategy for SCOR Life & Health. Bartlett, a SCOR veteran of more than two decades, commenced his career at the company as a market actuary in 2001. Over the years, he climbed the corporate ladder, reaching the position of Head of Global Markets – UK/Ire, SA, Canada & ANZ in 2022, and subsequently taking on the role of Regional CEO for EMEA + Canada – L&H.

SCOR has said the appointments aim to boost the company’s strategic focus and streamline its operational efficiency as it looks ahead to the challenges and opportunities in the insurance landscape.
