GJW Direct, founded in 1826, has established itself as a leader in marine insurance, focusing on boat and small craft coverage. The acquisition marks Ripe’s second major transaction within a year and strengthens its position as one of the UK’s leading providers of boat insurance.

The acquisition is part of Ripe’s broader expansion plan, aiming to continue its growth in niche markets while leveraging its digital marketing strengths.
