Progressive Rebrands Protective Insurance to Progressive Fleet & Specialty Programs
Progressive has rebranded its Protective Insurance - its large fleet commercial line coverage - to Progressive Fleet & Specialty Programs.

Prior to becoming a part of Progressive, Protective Insurance boasted a rich legacy spanning decades, during which it specialised in marketing and underwriting insurance products, notably workers’ compensation, primarily catering to the transportation sector.

The revamped identity, now known as Progressive Fleet & Specialty Programs, marks a strategic move aimed at better reflecting the company’s consolidated offerings and enhanced capabilities in large fleet transportation and specialised insurance programmes.

The decision to rebrand stems from Progressive’s acquisition of the Protective Insurance Corporation in 2021, signalling a pivotal juncture in the company’s evolution. By aligning under the Progressive Fleet & Specialty Programs banner, the company seeks to underscore its commitment to providing comprehensive coverage solutions tailored to the unique needs of businesses in the transportation and delivery sectors.

Karen Bailo, Progressive’s commercial lines president, explained: “This announcement was part of our strategy when we first acquired Protective almost three years ago.”

She added: “Our vision has come to fruition with this announcement enabling us to promote our full suite of capabilities in the transportation market.”
