Price Forbes has strengthened its Asia-Pacific growth strategy with the appointment of Rajiv Ramakrishnan as Head of Accident & Health (A&H) in Singapore.
Ramakrishnan joins with immediate effect and will report to Dick Heath, Head of Reinsurance and Wholesale. Based in Singapore, he will lead the development and expansion of the firm’s A&H capabilities across Southeast Asia and the wider APAC region.
He brings significant industry experience, having spent nearly a decade at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he most recently served as Vice President for A&H insurance products in Thailand. His background also includes expertise in health economics across pharmaceuticals and hospital operations, providing a strong foundation to support clients navigating complex healthcare dynamics.
The appointment comes as demand for A&H solutions continues to grow across Asia-Pacific, driven by rising healthcare costs and increasing awareness of protection gaps. In his new role, Ramakrishnan will focus on supporting cedants in enhancing their portfolios and developing new products across areas such as critical illness, travel, and lump-sum coverage.
Philip Johnson highlighted the strategic importance of the hire, noting that A&H represents a key growth opportunity for the firm as it expands its specialty offering across the region.
Ramakrishnan’s appointment reflects Price Forbes’ broader ambition to deepen its specialty expertise and strengthen its position as a trusted partner for insurers and cedants across APAC, particularly in high-growth and innovation-driven segments.
