Mutual Benefit Group (MBG) has selected Duck Creek Policy, Duck Creek Billing, Duck Creek Producer Portal, and Duck Creek Clarity Data Foundation for a greenfield implementation of its future-state platform. The insurer will launch new business in Delaware with Businessowners Policy, Commercial Umbrella, and Workers' Compensation. Duck Creek announced the selection on 27 October 2026. Commercial terms were not disclosed.
MBG already uses Duck Creek Claims and Duck Creek OnDemand. The new agreement extends that long-standing relationship into a comprehensive cloud deployment for the new lines, with room to expand into further states.
The platform aims to streamline quote-to-bind and policy servicing and to deliver digital experiences to independent agents and policyholders.
"As a mutual entering a new state, we needed a foundation built around how independent agents and policyholders actually want to work, not something we'd have to reshape later," said Gary Williams, President and Chief Executive Officer of MBG. "Duck Creek lets us configure our products and bring this business to market on our own timeline, with room to expand into new states as we prove out the model."
"Duck Creek is proud to help MBG build a modern commercial insurance business as it enters the Delaware market," said Chris McCloskey, Chief Operating Officer at Duck Creek.
Mutual Benefit Group is a mutual property and casualty insurer that has provided home, auto, and commercial insurance since 1908, working with independent agents.
Duck Creek, which is based in Boston, provides a core platform for property and casualty and general insurance, covering underwriting, policy, billing, claims, and payments.
