Milliman has released Milliman Compliance Intelligence, an AI-native platform that helps insurance product teams, compliance professionals, and regulators keep pace with rapidly evolving, state-by-state requirements.

Built around generative AI, the platform lets users upload contracts for jurisdiction-specific review, incorporate advice from Milliman’s proprietary database of compliance experience, and receive a national approval likelihood score. By flagging product issues and jurisdictional conflicts before a filing goes out, Milliman Compliance Intelligence aims to cut research time and accelerate time to market as regulations change.
Robert Eaton, principal and consulting actuary at Milliman, said insurance teams lose significant time to manual research.
“Insurance teams lose weeks to manual research and back-and-forth over state-by-state rules,” said Eaton. “Because this tool is AI-native rather than AI bolted onto old software, it reads a contract the way a seasoned reviewer would and shows you where you stand nationally before you ever file.”
Jim Fulton, incoming chief executive officer of Milliman, said the next decade would belong to firms that build AI into the core of their work.
“The next decade of insurance will belong to firms that build AI into the core of their work, not the margins,” said Fulton. “Compliance Intelligence is an early look at that future—expert judgment and machine speed working as one, so clients can bring better products to market faster.”
The platform forms part of Milliman AI Solutions, which is dedicated to delivering AI-powered products and advisory services to the insurance, healthcare, and benefits markets.
