Gore Mutual Insurance and Guidewire announced on 2 November the deployment of Guidewire ProNavigator across Gore Mutual's Claims and Personal Lines underwriting operations. Financial terms were not disclosed.
ProNavigator is Guidewire's embedded AI assistant for insurance expertise. At Gore Mutual, it sits directly inside the insurer's core policy and claims applications, so employees can access underwriting rules, policy guidelines, and internal documentation without leaving their primary work screen.
The deployment covers two parts of Gore Mutual's business, its Claims operations and its Personal Lines underwriting operations.
According to the release, the stated aims are more uniform policy and claims decisions from a single source of truth, more cases resolved per day, and stronger adherence to underwriting guidelines and claims procedures.
“At the heart of great claims service is making sure our people have the right information at the right time,” said Suzanne Courtlander, Chief Claims Officer, Gore Mutual. “ProNavigator gives our teams faster access to knowledge, greater confidence in decision-making, and more time to focus on what matters most: supporting our customers when they need us most.”
The announcement was issued by Guidewire Software via PR Newswire, with the release dated Cambridge, Ontario, and San Mateo, California.
Gore Mutual is one of Canada's oldest property and casualty mutual insurers, with more than 180 years of history, and distributes through broker partners. The insurer is headquartered in Cambridge, Ontario, and has offices in Cambridge, Toronto, and Vancouver.
Since 1 January 2026, Gore Mutual has been part of Beneva, which the release describes as the country's largest mutual insurance company. Gore Mutual operates as a standalone subsidiary under the Beneva brand and, during 2026, will combine operations with Unica Insurance, Beneva's Ontario-based subsidiary.
Guidewire, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker GWRE, provides a P&C insurance software platform used by more than 570 insurers in 44 countries.
