MSIG Europe, a wholly owned subsidiary of MS&AD Insurance Group, has selected Clearwater Analytics to modernize its investment operating model, consolidate investment data, and strengthen regulatory reporting across its European operations.

The implementation will enable MSIG Europe to unify investment data across the investment lifecycle while supporting compliance with European regulatory requirements, including Belgian GAAP, IFRS and Solvency II.

Supporting investment and regulatory requirements

The deployment comes as European insurers face increasing regulatory complexity alongside growing investments in private markets and the operational challenges of managing fragmented legacy systems.

According to Clearwater Analytics, its platform provides insurers with daily investment data, automated compliance capabilities and integrated analytics designed to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.

MSIG Europe will use the platform to provide its investment and finance teams with a single reconciled view of the group’s global investment portfolio, allowing them to streamline operations and focus on strategic initiatives.

MSIG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance and part of MS&AD Insurance Group, one of Asia’s largest non-life insurance groups with operations across 50 countries and regions. Clearwater noted that MSIG’s Asia business and several other group entities have already implemented its platform.
