Meanwhile Raises $40 Million Series A, Reaches $190 Million Valuation
Meanwhile, a bitcoin-only life insurance startup, has secured $40 million in a Series A funding round, boosting its total funding to approximately $60 million.

The round was led by Framework Ventures and Fulgur Ventures, with participation from Wences Casares, founder of crypto bank Xapo.

The latest investment brings Meanwhile’s valuation to $190 million and follows its earlier raise of $20 million in 2023.

Founded in 2022, Meanwhile is licensed and regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority, having obtained its license in 2024. The company’s debut product is a whole life insurance policy with premiums and claims fully denominated in bitcoin—a novel approach in the insurance sector.

The funding highlights continued investor confidence in bitcoin-native financial services as adoption and regulatory clarity grow across the digital asset space.
