McKenzie Intelligence Announces US Expansion with Support from the UK|CT Insurtech Corridor
McKenzie Intelligence Services (MIS), a prominent global provider of intelligence-driven solutions for catastrophic event response, is set to broaden its presence in the United States (US) with support from the UK|CT Insurtech Corridor.

Based in London, UK, MIS has secured acceptance into the esteemed UK|CT Insurtech Corridor, marking a significant stride in its expansion strategy into the US market. The InsurTech Corridor, a collaborative initiative between the UK and Connecticut, serves as a platform for fostering connections between UK Insurtechs and the US insurance ecosystem, facilitating the testing of proof of concept.

This strategic move underscores MIS’ commitment to leveraging the strengths of both the UK and US as leading hubs for insurance innovation. The partnership aims to provide MIS with enhanced opportunities to engage with the US insurance industry and further solidify its position as a key player in the global insurance landscape.

Daniel Grimwood-Bird, SVP, Sales & Marketing at MIS, who leads the initiative for MIS, said: “The UK|CT Insurtech Corridor provides some incredible support to UK Insurtechs expanding into, and growing in, the US through critical business infrastructure, networking, and expertise.

“We are, therefore, thrilled to be part of the UK|CT Insurtech Corridor to help us grow and build on the work we’ve been doing for a number of years, helping carriers to respond to events from hurricanes to hail. With Connecticut being the ‘home of insurance’ in the US, it is also a natural place to build on our US expansion plans.”

With a focus on building stronger relationships and infrastructure within the US insurance ecosystem, MIS aims to enhance its ability to assist carriers, brokers, and TPAs in responding more effectively and efficiently to catastrophic events, such as hurricanes, earthquakes, hail, wildfires, and flooding.

Grimwood-Bird, added: ” Looking ahead, MIS aims to continue to build on its presence in the US, which is a hugely significant target market for us with its substantial insurance economy and increasing frequency of catastrophic events, and contribute to the resilience of the insurance industry.”

Rytas Stankunas from the Department of Business and Trade in New York has supported MIS with the UK|CT Insurtech Corridor, as has Mike Hendy, Trade & Investment from the UK Department for Business, who said: “MIS already has a proven track-record of delivering valuable intelligence-driven solutions for catastrophic event response in the US market; we are delighted that they have become an excellent new addition to UK|CT Insurtech Corridor.”

Susan Winkler, VP & Executive Director, CT Insurance & Financial Services, added: “Hartford, Connecticut’s insurance community, and its many stakeholders, stand united with a big welcome of support and partnership to our newest Corridor company, McKenzie Intelligence Services.”
