HSBC UK has partnered with Gallagher to provide specialist insurance services to its commercial banking customers, giving businesses access to insurance advice, risk management support and insurance products through the broker.
Under the arrangement, HSBC UK customers with insurance requirements will be referred to Gallagher’s specialist teams, which will provide advice and support through face-to-face meetings, telephone consultations and online services.
The partnership is designed to make it easier for commercial banking customers to access specialist insurance expertise while allowing them to focus on their day-to-day operations and growth plans.
“By referring customers to Gallagher’s specialist teams, we’re helping businesses get the right insurance advice and risk management support quickly and conveniently,” said Jon Barks, head of business risk UK CMB at HSBC.
“That means our customers can spend less time navigating insurance needs and more time focusing on running and growing their business.”
Trade credit insurance will remain available to HSBC UK customers through the bank’s existing partnership with Allianz Trade.
Gallagher expands financial services partnerships
For Gallagher, the agreement adds to its existing portfolio of affinity partnerships with large financial services organisations.
Natasha Barrow, head of affinities at Gallagher, said the broker aims to act as an extension of its partners and provide customers with access to specialist expertise and service.

Gallagher said it has developed a portfolio of affinity partnerships over the past 20 years, including relationships with some of the largest firms in financial services.

The partnership gives HSBC UK’s commercial banking customers another route to specialist insurance support, while expanding Gallagher’s reach through the bank’s established business customer network.
