The company also confirmed that John Donnelly, President, Global Placement, will join George on the Marsh Executive Committee.
Andrew George, based in London, will now oversee Marsh Specialty’s global operations, reporting directly to Martin South, President and CEO of Marsh. His responsibilities encompass a broad portfolio, including Aviation, Climate & Sustainability, Construction, Credit Specialties, Energy & Power, Financial and Professional Lines (FINPRO) – which includes Cyber, Marine & Cargo, and Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions (PEMA).
George’s extensive experience, spanning over 35 years with Marsh, positions him as a strong leader for the specialty division. He joined the company in 1988 and has held various leadership roles, including Head of Marsh’s Energy Practice for the Middle East and North Africa region in Dubai, and later, CEO of Marsh’s Energy Practice for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In 2012, he was appointed Global Chairman of Marsh’s Energy Practice, which later expanded to become the Energy & Power Practice.
In a related move, John Donnelly, currently President, Global Placement, will relocate from London to New York in the coming months and also join the Marsh Executive Committee, reporting to Martin South. This expansion of the executive team underscores Marsh’s commitment to strengthening its leadership and driving strategic growth across its global operations.
