Marsh McLennan, a global professional services firm, has announced the immediate appointment of Susan Potter as Chief Commercial Officer for the United States and Canada.

In her new role, Potter will play a key role in steering initiatives designed to enhance Marsh McLennan’s capabilities in meeting the diverse needs of clients across the United States and Canada. Her responsibilities will involve close collaboration with teams from Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter, and Oliver Wyman.

Bringing over two decades of expertise in commercial and public sector consulting, management, and leadership, Potter joined Mercer in 2019 as the Chief Commercial Officer for the US and Canada. Prior to her tenure at Mercer, she accumulated 25 years of experience at Willis Towers Watson.

Based in Washington, D.C., Potter will report directly to Pat Tomlinson, the CEO of Marsh McLennan for the US and Canada and President of Mercer. This strategic appointment reflects Marsh McLennan’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team with seasoned professionals.
