Marsh, the insurance brokerage arm of Marsh McLennan, has revealed a series of significant senior appointments within its UK and Global Placement leadership team, set to take effect from January 1, 2024.

Tom Davies Appointed as Placement Leader, UK

Tom Davies, an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, has been appointed as the new Placement Leader for the UK. Reporting to John Donnelly, global head of Placement, Marsh, and Chris Lay, CEO of Marsh McLennan UK, Davies will operate from London. His role will involve close collaboration with Marsh’s Global Placement leadership to innovate placement solutions that challenge the insurance market to meet the evolving needs of clients. Davies, who currently serves as the global CEO of Bowring Marsh, Marsh’s international placement business, will also join Marsh’s UK Executive Committee.

Adam Russell Takes on Strategy & Planning Leadership Role, Global Placement

Adam Russell has assumed the newly created role of Strategy & Planning Leader, Global Placement. Based in London, Russell will report to John Donnelly and Kevin Meszaros, global data & strategy leader, Marsh Specialty, and Global Placement. Russell’s responsibilities include supporting Donnelly in leveraging Marsh’s global placement and digital expertise to enhance the client experience through innovation. Currently leading the Portfolio Solutions and Digital Placement teams in the UK, Russell brings over 18 years of international experience to his new role.

Winsee Cheung Appointed Portfolio Solutions Leader, UK

Winsee Cheung is now the Portfolio Solutions Leader for the UK, reporting to Tom Davies. Based in London, Cheung will oversee Marsh Portfolio Solutions, as well as the facilities and line slips placed by Marsh Specialty in the UK. Her role will involve identifying and designing new portfolio solutions that add value to clients in the changing risk landscape. With a tenure at Marsh since 2006, Cheung has held various senior positions, including her most recent role as Marsh Specialty Placement Leader, UK.

Jason Mills Takes the Role of Placement Leader, Marsh Specialty UK

Jason Mills has been appointed Placement Leader for Marsh Specialty UK, reporting to Tom Davies and Dominic Samengo-Turner, CEO of Marsh Specialty, UK. Operating from London, Mills will be responsible for designing and implementing the placement strategy across Marsh Specialty within the UK. Having returned to Marsh in 2020 as UK wholesale leader for the Financial and Professional Liability (FINPRO) Practice, Mills currently serves as the head of FINPRO Placement, UK.
