The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers has announced three senior leadership appointments, including the creation of its first Chief AI Officer role, as the brokerage looks to strengthen its leadership team and accelerate its growth strategy.
The company has promoted Adam Baillie to President, expanded Bernadetta Scholz’s responsibilities to include Chief Operating Officer alongside her role as Chief Financial Officer, and appointed Rob Jadon as Chief AI Officer.
Baillie, who joined Liberty as a producer in 2014, has held a number of senior leadership positions including Managing Partner, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Operating Officer and President of Strategic Growth. As President, he will help lead execution of the company’s strategic priorities and support continued expansion.
Scholz, who joined Liberty in 2021 as Chief Accounting Officer before becoming CFO in 2022, will now oversee the brokerage’s day-to-day operations while continuing to lead its financial strategy.
Meanwhile, Jadon becomes Liberty’s first Chief AI Officer, with responsibility for developing and implementing artificial intelligence initiatives across client service, producer support and internal operations.
The appointments follow a year of strong growth for the brokerage. Liberty reported revenue of US$222.4 million in 2025, representing 16.3% growth, completed 12 partnerships and acquisitions during the year, and surpassed 50 acquisitions since 2019. In October 2025, the company also secured a US$525 million first-lien credit facility, led by JPMorgan, to support further expansion and producer recruitment.
Commenting on Baillie’s promotion, Chairman, Founder and CEO Bill Johnson said:
“He combines the mindset of a producer, the vision of a strategist, and the leadership of an operator. His understanding of our business, our people and our culture makes him exceptionally well positioned to help lead Liberty’s next phase of growth.”
Baillie said he looked forward to building on the company’s recent momentum.
“We have tremendous momentum, exceptional people, and a unique culture, and I look forward to helping build on that foundation.”
Johnson said Scholz had consistently demonstrated strong execution and leadership, while describing Jadon’s appointment as an important step in ensuring AI enhances the way Liberty serves clients and supports producers.
Jadon said his focus would be on using AI to complement, rather than replace, human expertise.
“The greatest opportunity is not simply to automate work, but to help our people make better decisions, move faster, and spend more time delivering the expertise and personal service our clients value most.”
The creation of a dedicated Chief AI Officer role reflects a broader trend across the insurance distribution sector, with brokerages increasingly investing in AI leadership as they explore how artificial intelligence can improve operational efficiency, client service and producer productivity while responding to rapidly evolving digital distribution models.
