The latest raise brings Kota’s total funding to over $22 million as the company continues to expand its presence in the insurance benefits space.
In a parallel development, Kota has also received authorization from the Central Bank of Ireland to operate as an insurance intermediary, a move that extends its regulatory reach across the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). This milestone underscores the company’s ambition to become a leading infrastructure provider for embedded insurance solutions across Europe.
Founded in 2022, Kota is building a digital platform designed to connect employers, HR and payroll systems, and insurers, with the goal of simplifying benefits administration. The company is addressing long-standing inefficiencies in how insurance benefits are accessed, understood, and managed—particularly in small and mid-sized enterprises. By facilitating direct integrations with insurance carriers, Kota aims to lower costs, improve transparency, and deliver a seamless experience for employers and employees alike.
The platform already supports clients such as Remote and Helios, and currently serves over 150 organizations. With the new capital, Kota plans to further expand its network of carrier integrations and invest in its core product capabilities, continuing its mission to transform the fragmented employee benefits landscape.
