Koffie Labs, an “insurtech” company, announced it will require Samsara’s telematics platform to be installed on every truck Koffie insures to lower insurance costs by improving and more accurately underwriting risk.

Under the partnership, Samsara will be the exclusive telematics system for Koffie’s insured motor carriers.

Samsara’s platform will collect IoT data points to help users improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of operations. The connected fleet technology platform will also offer preventative AI and driver assistance solutions to bring actionable data and insights into underwriting and loss control, Koffie officials said in a press release.

Koffie uses telematics and advanced safety technology to underwrite trucking companies, rewarding fleets that invest in safety with discounted insurance premiums.
