This acquisition enhances Hub’s specialty services by adding WGIS’s expertise in risk mitigation and management solutions tailored to the agricultural industry.
Based in California and Arizona, WGIS operates 10 offices, providing insurance products and employee benefits designed to support agribusinesses and farms. This focus aligns with Hub’s goal of strengthening its offerings for agriculture and farm-related clients.
As part of the acquisition, key WGIS team members, including President Jeff Gullickson, will join Hub’s California and Northern California (CNC) region. Gullickson will now lead Hub’s agribusiness practice in the region while continuing his role as WGIS president. Joining him are Jodi Martin, Director and Employee Benefits Leader; Natalie Berend, Senior Director and Property/Casualty Leader; and Ken Cooper, Director of Operations and Risk Strategy.
This strategic addition reinforces Hub’s capabilities in agribusiness and underscores its commitment to servicing a vital segment of the U.S. economy.
Western Growers is known for its commitment to local and regional farmers who produce fresh fruits and vegetables across California, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico. With this acquisition, Chicago-based Hub—a leading insurance broker and financial services provider—aims to further support these agricultural communities by offering enhanced risk management, insurance, employee benefits, and wealth management solutions.
