Gyde has acquired Avid Health, strengthening its position in the fast-growing Medicare insurance segment and advancing its AI-powered brokerage strategy.
The acquisition marks Gyde’s first deal since emerging publicly with $60 million in funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, and signals its ambition to build a unified platform spanning insurance, wealth, and health services.
Palm Beach-based Avid Health specialises in Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Part D plans, supporting customers particularly those newly eligible for Medicare through plan selection and ongoing policy management.
Following the acquisition, Avid Health’s brokers will operate on Gyde’s technology stack, including its proprietary platforms GydeOS and Gia. These tools are designed to enhance client engagement by identifying coverage gaps, enabling cross-selling opportunities, and automating routine interactions such as reminders, scheduling, and servicing via SMS and voice.
The move highlights Gyde’s focus on empowering brokers with AI-driven tools while preserving the advisory-led distribution model that remains central to Medicare insurance. By integrating advanced automation and data insights, the platform aims to help agencies scale operations, improve retention, and deliver more personalised customer experiences.
As Medicare products grow in complexity and demand continues to rise, Gyde’s acquisition strategy reflects a broader industry shift toward combining human expertise with AI-enabled infrastructure to drive efficiency and growth in distribution.
