GEICO is significantly expanding its presence in North Texas, announcing the creation of 2,500 new jobs as it continues to scale its operations in the region.
The insurer marked the opening of its second North Texas office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new 165,000-square-foot facility in Mapletree’s Galatyn Commons in Richardson. At the same time, GEICO confirmed it has signed a lease for a third building adjacent to the site, underscoring its long-term commitment to the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Since December 2024, GEICO has announced 2,500 new roles in North Texas to support its sales, service and claims operations. Over the next two years, the company plans to add a further 1,000 employees across its three Richardson buildings. Once fully operational, GEICO will occupy nearly 600,000 square feet across the North Texas campus.
As part of its growing regional presence, GEICO also unveiled a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the Dallas Cowboys. The partnership includes in-stadium branding, digital media integration and community engagement initiatives designed to strengthen GEICO’s ties to the local community.
GEICO’s rapid expansion in North Texas began in December 2024, when the company designated its Greenville office as a key hub for commercial insurance operations, initially announcing 500 new positions. Further growth plans followed in March 2025 with the launch of its first Galatyn Commons building and more than 1,000 additional roles.
Jason Andrukonis, GEICO’s Richardson Campus Leader and Head of Commercial Insurance Operations, said the company’s experience in the region has exceeded expectations.
“When we began expanding here just over a year ago, we knew North Texas had something special to offer. What we have found has surpassed even our highest expectations exceptional talent, a welcoming business community and a region that shares our drive to grow,” he said. “With a third building in Richardson, we are putting down roots for the long haul.”
Richardson Mayor Amir Omar welcomed the announcement, calling GEICO’s continued investment “a strong vote of confidence” in the city’s workforce and business environment, and highlighting the role the expansion will play in shaping the future of the North Texas economy.
