The platform gives cedants real-time access to their cyber risk exposures and the tools to manage them more effectively with data-driven insights.
Designed as a self-service portal, the Helios platform replaces traditional static summary reports with always-on access to dynamic analytics. Cedants can now view detailed information about systemic risk, aggregation, and catastrophe exposures in their portfolios, supported by Coalition’s proprietary internet-wide data, modeling, and analytics. The platform also generates custom reports and portfolio-level visualizations to help cedants optimize their underwriting and risk management strategies.
“Real-time data insights are crucial to managing a portfolio of cyber risks,” said Shawn Ram, Coalition’s Chief Revenue Officer. “With Coalition Re’s interactive Helios platform, we are setting the standard for data collection and information processing as the cyber market matures. The new Helios platform enables cedants to gain visibility into their own systemic risk, aggregation, and catastrophe load, as well as gather meaningful context around why these risks matter and what to do about them.”
The Helios platform enables cedants to assess loss trends, identify concentrated risk stemming from widely used technologies and third-party vendors, and take proactive steps to address emerging threats. Ram emphasized the need for the reinsurance sector to take a more active role in cyber risk mitigation. “While capital is important, tools that provide real-time data can help insurers manage portfolio risk more effectively by identifying systemic vulnerabilities and trends before losses occur,” he said.
Current Coalition Re cedants can access Helios at no additional cost, with full availability to all new cedants beginning July 1, 2025.
Coalition Re offers capacity for non-proportional cyber reinsurance treaties and a white-labeled cyber insurance product with up to 100% quota share support, enabling insurers to offer cyber coverage as an endorsement to existing products. Both options are available globally and backed by a strong panel of capacity providers led by Aspen.
