Coalition Expands into France with Launch of Active Cyber Insurance
Coalition, a global leader in Active Cyber Insurance, has announced the launch of its services in France, providing companies with revenues of up to €1 billion access to its cyber risk management and insurance solutions.

The cover, offered on a primary basis, is supported through a multi-year capacity agreement with Allianz Commercial, via Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS).

The expansion brings Coalition’s Active Insurance model – an integrated approach combining cyber insurance with in-house technical expertise, cybersecurity technologies, and incident response services – to the French market.

“As global cyber threats grow, French businesses—particularly small and mid-sized companies—need an innovative provider that not only helps mitigate financial losses, but also equips them with the tools to prevent attacks,” said Tine Simonsen, Coalition’s Head of Insurance, Continental Europe.

Coalition’s proprietary platform, Coalition Control®, provides policyholders with real-time risk assessments, vulnerability alerts, and access to security services such as employee training and managed detection and response (MDR). In the event of an incident, the company’s claims and incident response teams are available around the clock.

To lead its French operations, Coalition has appointed Benjamin Barès as Head of Business Development. Barès, who brings more than two decades of experience, was most recently Director of Direct Sales and Partnerships at Hiscox Assurances France. He will be supported by Frédéric Gatte, Director of Underwriting, who previously held senior roles at Onda and Diot Siaci, and Tom Paparella, Production Underwriter, transferring from Coalition’s US team.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Coalition, a trusted partner to over 100,000 organizations and more than 65,000 brokers worldwide,” said Barès. “Our ambition in France is to establish long-term relationships with brokers, backed by training, resources, and a streamlined digital platform that enables them to generate quotes within minutes.”

Coalition confirmed plans to expand its workforce across several French cities, with open positions listed on its careers page.
