In his new role, Benson will be responsible for overseeing strategy, product development, underwriting operations, and overall performance for Chubb’s multinational business, which spans large, middle, and small businesses, as well as wholesale accounts. He will work closely with Chubb’s Global Services group to ensure seamless execution of multinational programs across the globe.
Based in Philadelphia, Benson will report to Matthew Merna, Division President of North America Major Accounts.

Benson succeeds Laura Vest, who is retiring after 20 years with Chubb. Merna expressed gratitude for Vest’s contributions, noting her leadership in multinational operations and the Dallas regional office. “We are extremely thankful for Laura’s service and wish her the best in retirement,” he added.
Benson brings over two decades of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to this role, he served as Executive Vice President & Chief Revenue Officer for Chubb’s middle market division, and has held various leadership roles across Field Distribution and Data Analytics. He also previously led Chubb’s multinational underwriting team from 2011 to 2019, focusing on U.S. companies with international risks. Benson joined Chubb in 2005 as part of the corporate finance department.
