Chubb Announces Leadership Changes in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and North America
Chubb Limited (NYSE: CB) has announced key leadership changes in its European, Middle Eastern, African, and North American operations, effective April 1, pending regulatory approvals.

Ana Robic, currently Senior Vice President of Chubb Group and Division President of Personal Risk Services (PRS) in North America, has been appointed Regional President of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). She will succeed David Furby, who transitions to the role of Executive Chairman for the region. Robic will assume executive responsibility for Chubb’s operations across the UK, continental Europe, Chubb Global Markets, the Middle East, and Africa. She will report to Paul McNamee, Executive Vice President of Chubb Group and President of Chubb Overseas General Insurance.

In his new capacity as Executive Chairman, Furby will oversee strategy and governance for Chubb’s general insurance business in EMEA. He will continue as a member of Chubb’s European Group Board and chair its Underwriting Risk Committee.

“These appointments highlight Chubb’s deep talent pool and our commitment to leadership development,” said McNamee. “Ana is a highly accomplished and respected executive with a strong underwriting foundation, and I am excited to welcome her to our international operations. I also want to thank David for his exceptional leadership in Europe over the past seven years, during which our business has grown substantially.”

With Robic’s move to EMEA, Melissa Scheffler, currently Chief Operating Officer of PRS, will step into her role as Division President of Personal Risk Services for Chubb North America. She will also become Vice President of Chubb Group and will report to Juan Luis Ortega, Executive Vice President of Chubb Group and President of Chubb North America.

“Under Ana’s leadership, PRS North America has consistently delivered outstanding results and enhanced Chubb’s operational capabilities,” Ortega commented. “Her new role is a testament to Chubb’s commitment to global talent mobility. I am equally confident in Melissa’s ability to continue PRS’s success, given her deep experience and strategic vision.”

Robic has been with Chubb since 1999, holding leadership roles in Canada and the U.S. before being named Division President of PRS in 2021. Furby, a 43-year insurance industry veteran, has been with Chubb for 29 years and previously served as Division President of Property and Casualty for Overseas General Insurance. Scheffler, who joined Chubb in 1994, has held leadership roles in underwriting, sales, marketing, and management across multiple U.S. regions, including serving as Regional Executive Officer for the Mid-Atlantic Region.

These leadership changes reinforce Chubb’s commitment to strengthening its executive team and expanding its global insurance footprint.
