In an official statement, APIW President Elizabeth Kramer lauded Austenfeld’s exceptional executive leadership, both at RT Specialty and across the insurance industry’s major associations. She currently holds positions on the Executive Board of Directors of The Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA), where she is slated to assume the presidency in March 2024.

She also serves on the Board of Directors for The WSIA Diversity Foundation and The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB). Acknowledging Austenfeld’s commitment to the industry, Kramer highlighted her involvement in various associations and publications, emphasising her dedication to community service and advocacy for women’s development and advancement in the insurance sector.

Currently, Austenfeld holds the position of CEO & President of National Property at RT Specialty’s Executive Team. In her role, she provides leadership to brokerage teams for sales and strategy initiatives, while nurturing relationships with key market and retail broker trading partners. Austenfeld is deeply committed to mentorship, talent development, and fostering team culture within the national property platform, which has propelled RT Property to a prominent position within the insurance industry.
