The new healthcare payment card marks the initial phase of AXA – Global Healthcare’s roadmap to equipping members with a digital wallet, facilitating convenient access to their international health insurance policy.

Designed as a virtual card compatible with Apple or Google Wallet, it enables members to effortlessly cover eligible outpatient treatments, including over-the-counter prescriptions, without upfront expenses or claim submissions.

Customer research conducted across AXA – Global Healthcare’s international business community revealed a significant volume of low-value, self-pay claims annually, attributed mainly to the cumbersome time and administrative requirements.

To address this pain point, the healthcare payment card streamlines the process post-outpatient treatment, allowing members to pay for services at any global healthcare provider offering a contactless VISA payment method, beyond AXA – Global Healthcare’s extensive network.

The phased rollout targets select corporate groups, inviting them to register and generate their virtual card. Once added to their digital wallet, members can seamlessly initiate payments without pre-authorization from AXA – Global Healthcare. Upon payment, members simply upload the provider invoice via the AXA – Global Healthcare Card app.

This incremental approach enables AXA – Global Healthcare to monitor, evaluate, and refine the service before a comprehensive launch to a broader customer base, ensuring optimal service delivery and customer satisfaction.
