AXA Announces Launch of Multiple Employee Benefits Changes for 2024
AXA has launched multiple comprehensive enhancements to employee benefits, which came into effect from January 1st, 2024.

The initiative aligns with AXA’s longstanding commitment to cultivating a diverse and inclusive corporate culture, ensuring a positive and friendly atmosphere for its workforce.

The revamped employee benefits package, which came into effect from January 1st 2024, includes a substantial increase in paid co-parent leave, doubling it from 20 to 40 days.

Additionally, employees will now enjoy an extra five days each of caregiver leave, fertility leave, and pregnancy loss leave. The changes are designed to cater to the diverse needs of AXA’s workforce, allowing them to allocate more time to family matters during pivotal life stages and achieve a more favourable work-life balance while addressing various personal requirements.

The initiative is in line with AXA Group’s global programme, “We Care,” launched in October 2023 across 51 markets. The “We Care” program underscores AXA’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing the overall well-being of its employees. By encouraging a healthier, more inclusive, and supportive workplace culture on a global scale, AXA aims to provide substantial support to its workforce through every significant moment in life.

In the wake of the introduction of the ‘We Care’ programme, AXA has enhanced and introduced several employee benefits, which commenced on January 1, 2024:. These are:

Parental Leave:
Paid co-parent leave will undergo a significant increase from 20 days to 40 days.

Fertility Leave:
A newly added 5-day fertility leave is introduced for employees undergoing assisted reproductive services, such as in-vitro fertilisation treatment and embryo transfer. This allows employees to take five days of paid leave. In cases where the employee’s partner is undergoing assisted reproductive services, the employee can also avail two days of fertility leave to support their family.

Pregnancy Loss Leave:
A newly added 5-day pregnancy loss leave is implemented, offering paid leave for employees affected by miscarriage. In situations where the employee’s partner experiences miscarriage, the employee is entitled to two days of paid leave to be with their family during this challenging time.

Caregiver Leave:
A newly added five days of caregiver leave is introduced for employees caring for close family members requiring additional support due to a serious health condition or disability.

Domestic and Sexual Violence Leave:
Five days of paid leave will be provided to employees impacted by domestic or sexual violence. Extra support tailored to employees’ specific needs will be offered during these challenging periods.

Enhancement of ‘Healthy You’ Programme:
The ‘Healthy You’ programme will undergo further expansion to create a supportive working environment for employees dealing with menstrual health conditions, menopause, or andropause. The programme will also offer various resources to assist employees in overcoming different health challenges.
