Together, they have launched Africa’s first platform solely focused on Trade Credit and Political Risk insurance.
The initiative marks a significant milestone in the continent’s financial and risk management landscape, aiming to provide bespoke insurance solutions that foster economic resilience and growth across Africa.
Founded in the 1960s, ETG has been a key player in Africa’s agribusiness sector for over six decades. With annual revenues exceeding $7 billion, the group has grown through a network of subsidiaries, the most recent being EIRS — established to address insurance and risk management needs in African markets.
Louis Bollaert, CEO of AU Group, highlighted the importance of the collaboration “We are thrilled to collaborate with ETG Insurance & Risk Solutions. Their deep-rooted presence and strong relationships across Africa significantly enhance our ability to deliver tailored Trade Credit and Political Risk solutions. Together, we aim to foster economic growth and contribute to greater stability across the continent.”
Abhishek Jain, CEO of EIRS at ETG Group, added “This partnership is a major milestone for EIRS as we position ourselves as a multi-specialist broker in Africa. By combining ETG’s expertise in trade with AU Group’s deep knowledge in securing and financing trade receivables, we are better equipped to support the continent’s economic development.”
Spanning coverage in nearly 51 African countries, the partnership leverages ETG’s operational scale and trade expertise with AU Group’s global network and specialised insurance capabilities. The venture will be led by Aurélien Paradis, CEO of AU Group Middle East, and Nolwenn Allano, Chief Commercial Officer of EIRS.
Beyond commercial objectives, the partnership reflects the shared values of both family-owned companies — long-term vision, integrity, and commitment to sustainable growth. It also forms part of AU Group’s broader strategy to accelerate its international expansion into high-potential emerging markets.
The alliance is designed to be a long-term business relationship aimed at creating meaningful impact across the African continent.
