Amwin’s Equisure launches new Livestock Insurance Programme
Equisure, a subsidiary of Amwins, has unveiled its latest initiative with the introduction of its Livestock insurance programme.

The new solution offers coverage for animal mortality, diseases, and transit risks associated with various types of livestock.

As per the official announcement, the coverage is accessible nationwide and is underwritten by carriers with AM Best ratings of “A+” for admitted and “A-” for non-admitted basis.

The eligible accounts for the programme are diverse, including dairy farms, beef feedlots, various livestock categories such as cattle, sheep, llamas, and zorses, as well as operations involving poultry, swine, zoos, aquariums, safari parks, and even high-profile animals like giant pandas, penguins, dolphins, and exotic fish.

The scope of coverage extends to canines and working dogs, grazing cattle, genetic facilities and embryos, semen storage and transport, livestock auction markets and packers, high-valued individual animals used for breeding or showing, and the transit of livestock through air, sea, or road.

Diane Lesher, President at Equisure, said:  “We understand livestock are important and valuable investments and protecting insureds against sudden loss helps keep farms and ranches running smoothly.”

She added: “Our team remains focused on protecting our insured’s investments, one hoofprint at a time, by providing customised livestock insurance coverage securing their herd’s future as well as the future of their business.”
