Amdocs has acquired EIS, the San Francisco-based insurance core platform provider, for approximately $340m in cash, according to the release. The deal marks the first step into the insurance industry for Amdocs, the telecoms software and services provider listed on NASDAQ under the ticker DOX.
Additional consideration may be paid later based on the achievement of certain performance metrics. The size of any earn-out and the metrics involved have not been disclosed.
EIS offers a cloud-native, agentic multi-line core platform, EIS OneSuite, powered by CoreGentic. The platform spans policy administration, billing, claims, and customer engagement for Life & Annuities and Property & Casualty insurers. Its clients include Aflac, CSAA, Allstate, Desjardins, and BNP Paribas Cardif.
Amdocs plans to extend aOS, its agentic operating system developed for telecommunications, into insurance to enhance the EIS platform.
“Expanding into a new vertical is a key pillar of our growth strategy, and today we are taking an important first step,” said Shimie Hortig, President and Chief Executive Officer of Amdocs.
Alec Miloslavsky, Founder of EIS, said: “We share Amdocs’ vision of bringing industry-specific AI into core operations. Combining aOS with EIS’ platform and insurance expertise can bring new agentic capabilities to insurers and accelerate innovation. I’m excited about what we can achieve together for our customers, partners and people.”
Amdocs reported revenue of $4.53bn in fiscal 2025. The company said further details would be shared on its fourth quarter fiscal 2026 earnings call on 3 November.
The acquisition brings a telecoms software group into the insurance core systems market, with Amdocs pairing its agentic operating system with the EIS platform and its insurer client base.
